Azarathal
Hey guys, I've been looking around and can't find much in the way of 24" pure trials, am I right in thinking It's pretty much Echo or nowt? I know theres the Because Simple frame but I'm wondering about full builds. I'm also not too sure about the Because's geo although I'm liking the disc mount. Azarathal
Thing is I'd want disc but I'd also probably buy the full echo build. Decisions :l
Matt Vandart
I was thinking o getting one of them today and that is exactly why I didn't bother. I really like the look of the new ozonys curve 24 its disc-tastic!
Azarathal
And yet garunteed to cost silly amounts.

Azarathal
I want to buy a new bike to start fresh rather than build one out of secondhand parts so I'm either stuck with Maggy or I dont even bother.
onzatrip
What about a Marino!? There cheap and custom
Azarathal
What about a Marino!? There cheap and custom Then I have to buy all the parts seperate increasing both cost and time invested. Plus I'd rather have this bike this year, heard Marino can take months. Revolver
So what was your reason for not wanting a because? Tarty will knock up a full build for you, under every full build it says you can choose your parts, the frame is probably included in that. Give them a ring! Azarathal
Please Note: Purchasing this item would ensure a bike as described below is delivered to you. The specification at this price is completely fixed including colours. If you want to change any parts, the only way to do it is to purchase them separately and add them afterwards. We cannot offer any discount for taking parts off the bike. Plus I was planning on ordering it through a friend, I suppose I could get someone to buy the because frame and trade it for my echo. Revolver
So I see. Well, I reckon they'd still hook you up if you rang up and asked about buying a because complete.
dannytrialskid
I really, really, really want an Echo 24". It's such great value for money. Shame I haven't got £899 -.-

I suppose, just worked it out, a Because complete build using all the same parts as the Echo (With a frame and hub swap) it comes to £1162.81. Thats with a £50 cheaper frame although the hub is £11 more expensive. Selling the F+R Echo brakes to use my V2's would probably get me close to full retail for them (minus 10-15 obviously) but it still doesnt add up. Starting to look like a rather offputting, pain in the arse.

Wouldn't they do the £899 price, minus the echo frame price, which would come to £593.64 + because frame price, which comes to £847.94 I duno, but they might? Azarathal
Then its buying new spokes + hub, selling old hub and they'd most likely want labour the dismanteling the bike. I'd rather have someone from tarty either reply here or answer an email (which will most likely be sent tomorrow) as that way it's clear what I want, otherwise I'd have to explain it via telephone and I'm hopeless at speaking
Adam '93
Buy the full build, ride it for a while so you can save some money, then sell the frame + brakes and buy a Because Simple + BB?

I'd want to do it all properly the first time rather than ride it for a bit and then faff about with devalued parts.
