Sick of the noise maguras make, just got a 24 and found some bargain minis, they will be run with 180 discs, are they up to trials if bled and set right?

Thanks

Yes Mono Trials are stupidly good brakes, I used to run two 160mm rotors on my old Onza Limey stock, it felt just like a big mod and i found I had control and power no probs, I still run one (still 160mm) on my Inspired 24" and have no problems; personally I prefer them to any rim brake, untill I bend rotors (N)

I believe they are the same, just the rotor is different; I could be wrong though. Generally all Hope brake systems are good anyway, i found the 6-pots my mate used to run on his down hill bike were excellent, and the same when i had a play with Tech's :D

You are.

The Mono Trial and the Mono Mini/Mono M4 etc run totally different calipers/piston ratios. Whilst a Mono Mini will be good enough for XC/general bike use, they don't really have the necessary bite/hold for trials use.

Going from a Magura rim brake to a disc will be a bit odd at the best of times, but to go from a decent rim brake to a sub-par disc (for the job, at least) would be a killer.

Hmmmmm, avid arch rival v's with sd levers may be the way ahead then? Anyone reccomend any v pads? Hopes may end up on the freeride bike then!
