Martin Reynolds
I apologise for this being one of the thousand types of these topics, but as im building my first stock, really dont know what geo stem i should use. Ive got a Born Ultimatum 26" 2011 frame, geo is : Wheelbase: 1100mm Chainstay Length: 380mm BB Rise: 60mm Head Angle: 70.5° The bars im using are echo sl risers : Width: 740mm (29.1in) Total rise: 75mm Upsweep: 7° Backsweep: 6° Im about 5ft 9, if that helps
Azarathal
From what I've seen of other stocks with high bb's they run short mod stems, around the 125/130mm 20-25deg mark.

Wouldn't call that a mod stem but yeah, a Trialtech 130mm stem will do just fine.

Just replaced a 130mm 30deg mod stem with a 165mm 35deg. At least I think it was a mod stem

What, something like the trialtech sl with 130mm by 25 degree rise? it sounds like an appropriate geo to me Just replaced a 130mm 30deg mod stem with a 165mm 35deg. At least I think it was a mod stem Ive got a mod onza stem (165 by 35), which i'll properly slap on for the minute because its the only stem i have atm, but i can imagin with me being not that tall, that it'd be quite a streach
craigjames
Something like that trialtech stem or a tryall 3D/ rockman forged if you can find one. I run a try all with tryall carbons and 10mm's of spacers on my hydroxx with a +55bb and its spot on. I'm an inch shorter than you.

The Carbon bars have around 15mm more rise than the Echo bars though, which is something to bear in mind...
