Rusevelt
Saw a small article about this in todays Metro paper. http://www.bmeres.com/b8bamboo.htm
eddbmxdude
I rode a bamboo bike at the cycle show this weekend just gone. It was built up with suspension forks as an xc rig. Felt quite nice to ride, pretty light and soaked up the bumps nicely.
ZeroMatt
Yeah they were on a stand with Green Oil. Didn't get to ride one on the test track though, guy I spoke to on the stand said it's meant to ride really nice, sort of similar to a carbon feel but less vibration. Tomm
It not particularly light - In fact it's quite heavy. And doubtless will cost loads for its quirky value.
Matt Vandart
But very interesting non the less. I think it is a good idea, the vast majority of cyclists are leisure cyclist, just riding cycle tracks etc where weight isnt much of an issue. I think the green/carbon set will/should love this idea and rightly so.
old'scoolfool
how stupid can you get, looks horrible and as tom says its not exactly mdf weight and if you lock it up anywhere you'll come back to a pile of bamboo where the carbon has been sawn off Edited October 13, 2011 by old'scoolfool
