0zzy
after trying near enough all the mod tyres on the market for the front, i was just wondering what people recomend for grip and lightweight? i barley ever get a puncture so that is not really a problem, ive tried the kanda block 8 which i thought was actual dog shit and was crap for near enough everything! aint run a maxxis in ages, monnty never seemed that good in the rain or on slippery stuff, and try all on the front is mint, but aint tried the sticky lite! opinioons please? monty221ti
a try-all sticky lite is awesome, mega good grip, mud isnt packing on it and it's pretty light! only bad thing is the wear time, thats why i train with a small block 8 and a few days before a comp or a show, i shift to the try-all. dann2707
Ahh another recruit for the "small block 8's are gash" bandwagon. I used to think they were great as i only used to ride street in the dry, played on natural for a bit and used to constantly get punctures - awful!!. Also when it rains you may as well just take the tyre off and go ride your rim! Edited October 5, 2011 by dann2707
0zzy
my tyre used to skid out on to fronts there lethal cant belive people rate them lol!
dann2707
Nah admittedly they are great when ran with really low pressure. Can get right on the point of walls and stuff. Compounds really tacky so it just folds round and grips.
SamKidney
My verdict. Dry = good street, pallet and natural performance Wet = Useless They are very unstable though
weirdoku
You know, since a mod front wheel is 20", you don't have to stick with trials specific tyres like the try alls and creepies. There's loads of bmx tires that would do the job just fine. I personally think the try alls are complete rip offs anyway so never used them. Just have a quick search for 20" tyres on google and you get loads.
omgnoseat
try-all -> monty eagle claw The difference is very small though. The try-all is more puncture prone but feels a bit bouncier than the monty.
dann2707
Yeah Carl gave me his old try all, even though the tread was dead I got absolutely no punctures on it after riding lots. The grip was still pretty epic too.

monty221ti
how long does a sticky lite last yoU? as i am changing so i dont wear it to much, it lasts a good while, but after the try-all i have now, i will just ride the try-all all the time, it's amazing!
