Has anyone ever used a revell wheel before? If so are they any good? Im looking at this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170664101485?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_500wt_1361 Also does anyone know if i can use rim brakes on this one? Thanks for any advice!!
Dave Sutton
Looks like you can use rim brakes to me not sure what they are like though, they look nice
planet x alan
Looks like the rim will be quite thin so if you have a trials specific frame then you might struggle to set the brake up, also i doubt the rear hub would take much hammering! If you're new to trials and have an old school type frame then should be good!
Jake.
You'll find that the rim will be thinner than trials specific rims, and that if you use rim brakes, they'll be harder or not even possible at all to set up on a pure trials frame. I wouldn't really trust the hub either, but if you're at the bare minimums then I would still recommend buying a second hand trials wheel from here. It'll be better in the long run, as it means you can progress/improve and get used to the wide rims quicker. Edit: Just read the post above mine and it's pretty similar to mine haha, well it's good another forum member is thinking alike.
