Martin Reynolds
So i was out riding normally one day to a riding spot and my freewheel locked up and chucked me off. Ive stripped the freewheel down, and i've managed to snap one of the pawls in half. This happen to anyone else? And for the Tartyboys, would my freewheel still be under warranty? i brought it off you 04/12/2010 Cheers Edit : Corrected Ali Edited September 21, 2011 by Martin Reynolds

they have spare pawls for other freewheels but not an SL i dont think, ring up and ask if one will fit, i dont think it will be under warranty since its over 6 months old and youv just said you opened it up and have tampered with it... Greetings
Someone might have some spares around, these freewheels sometimes fail leaving people with much of the parts still intact. Put an ad up in the classifieds.

I'm not that bothered about getting it warranted, I've had it 9 months and its been flawless. I'll probably just get a pawl off a mate and re-build it. More curious if anyone else has done anything similar, I've had a mate crack the centre assembly twice.

Mark W
But seriously, we may have some replacement pawls somewhere. I'm not 100%, but there's bound to be something somewhere...
