JeRkY
Hi, not a frequent poster, not even a trials rider but a collector of pace cycles. My last posts here were asking advice on period specification for a Pace rc250t frame. Well im back to pester for more info. I have just taken delivery of a 1989 Pace rc T 100 bike. A trials specific version of the rc100 model. Pace was started out of a motorbike trials background and this early bike possibly even predating 1989 shows very different geometry to the 1989 and onwards rc100 xc bikes. It also features a number of unique amongst other pace features such as dual crown rigid forks and a huge nylon bashguard on the BB. Any way, it's arrival prompted me to ponder when was the first trials specific mountain bike made and where does this rc t100 lie in the time line? (pace founded in 1987, and the rc100 xc model was released in 88/89 this trials model may even be a one of a kind dating from the first year of the companies existence.) Thanks in advance, I'll get some photos uploaded when I can and I hope you find it as interesting as I do.
