Caliper Hitting Adaptor.

Thank you.

New question. V2 calipers wont fit on my IS-Post adaptors, caliper hits the adaptor. Can I get away with filing the adaptor? Or do I have to bite the bullet and waste yet more money replacing my brand new rotors for 180's and getting new adaptors?

Pictures will help.

If i were you i'd TRY and put some spacers there, however i dont know how this would effect the disc.

EDIT: to be fair if you can fit the disc how it is i'd just pop some spacers on the right mount (first picture) and mound it like that.

You can always try fitting spacers and only using half of the surface if the pads but I quite sure that it's not optimal. A friend of mine had the same problem with magura louises and logically it was only 50% of the braking power so he ended up updating the rotor to 180mm after few weeks of frustration.

Sigh. I had ordered 180mm rotors until someone I spoke to at Tarty said this brake could run 160mm with the A and F adaptors.

I then asked to change my rotors and just caught them in time.

Apart from filing down the mounts I'm looking at another £18 per rotor and the shipping cost to send my mounts back?

Edit*

turns out my rear caliper only needs 1-2mm of spacers either side and with the onza sliding disc tab should be fine.

Front Is the one pictured.
