Flames35
Folks, just bought a new Phase 1.2 and when you apply power to the drive side pedal, the bashring hits the frame. I am knew to trials but have built 4 MTB's, so can find my way around mechanicals. Sorry if this has been posted before but would appreciate some help before I start stripping the crank and BB. Please help.
isitafox
Can you get some pictures up? It's the first time I've heard of it happening!
Flames35
Photos attached. Hope you can help. Do you not sleep posting at 5am???? I think I see the problem. Something is bent. It only rubs on about 1/4 off the bashring.
isitafox
I'd throw a guess in and say the bottom bracket is bent. Whilst the Phase's are excellent value for money I've heard of them arriving with customers and being pretty poorly built though I think thats down to not coming from trials specific bike shops! First job would be to whip it out and have a look, hopefully it won't have cocked up the taper in the driveside crank arm so you'll still be able to use them! Flames35
Bought the bike off Discount Cycles Direct and their customer service is excellent. I live in Northern Ireland and they have agreed to let Chain Reaction Cycles repair the bike and Discount Cycles will pay for it. Can't be bad to that. Thanks for your help.
