After giving my brother the duty of cleaning my bike, he has succesfully balls up by brand new rear brake and now it slips!

Im wanting a new rotor what should i get, im thinking a 203mm rotor,

how much should i spend on one and what brand should i use.

Any reccomendations and advice appreciated.

Thanks.

anything other than 160mm is overkill on a mod.

Just throw water on the brake and drag it around a lot, keep repeating until it gets better again.

Personally I've just bought 2x Alligator 160mm's. Haven't fitted them yet as I'm waiting for brakes to arrive but they look pimp and are light as f**k.

I have just looked at these in the 203mm,

Whats wrong with putting a lager rotor on, i though the bigger the rotor the better thats why dh use huge rotors.

203mm will put undue stress on the disk tab and will shorten the frames life span, it'll also put more stress on spokes which could result in some snapping.

You could get away with a 180mm although I wouldn't recommend it.

Dh use 203mm rotors because they need constantly high braking, the bigger rotor helps to keep things cool and keep braking consistant. Smaller rotors start to glaze when subjected to long periods of constand braking and the brakes will fade.
