Is 16 To Late To Start Trials?

Such a massive generalisation about age there Carl... Someone who weighed 30 stone at 20, then went on a fitness binge for 20 years and was in great shape before starting trials at 40 would be better at 40 than they would have been at 20. What I'm saying is that age isn't the only factor - you can be unfit, uncoordinated, unmotivated and unskilled at absolutely any age.

Is it obvious I'm already thinking about being 40 and fighting against the 'old' comments already, 15 years in advance?

I admit it's not a perfect rule. But I think we're really stretching my point :P most 40 year olds are going to be in worse shape than most 20 year olds. Therefore, the 20 year old not only has longer to practice trials (unless they get hit by a bus or some other freak accident) but they should be in better shape, and get into even better shape quicker. The general theory of starting trials, way more complicated than I thought. :P

why do people ask these questions?? its never too late to start anything.

Started two years ago, now 41. Still suck but have gotten better and hope to get even better. No doubt its easier to start a young age - no kids, no job, mom makes your tea and does your washing etc. As others said its about having fun. and it keeps you away from the woman you already have!
