Azarathal
Heya guys! I know a few riders have used these discs for trials and found them to be amazing, just thought I'd let those of you interested in getting them they're now £60 each on crc. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=28021
Laurence--Trials
Whats the piston size in that?
Azarathal
Not sure but I've heard of them being as good as or even better than a hope. Bearing in mind that is only word of mouth, no first hand experiance. They are post mount though so you're forced to use at least a 180mm rotor on most mods / fork setups. Edit* Just googled, they're 22mm Edited September 5, 2011 by Azarathal
Laurence--Trials
Was planning to anyway i ride 24" so its all good. EDIT: whats the weight? some places say 150 and some say 500, but i think the 150 could be the weight of the caliper, not 100% atall though. Azarathal
Going to hazard a guess and say 150 is going to be caliper only.
trialsmax04
to be honest there ok on my trail bike. Wouldnt say they would be great for trials. On all shimano brakes the pads are tiny...

Matthew62
beautiful power?what are you, woman? You are woman? Reminded me of the French Connection ad campaign. There was nothing wrong with him asking Luke if he was refering to power or aesthetics, so what's your beef?
trialsmax04
Maybe I should rephrase what I said. I do love my SLX brakes. They are a little wooden, but the modulation is excellent. Yes the power is there but you would end up having to really crank down on them. For trials, yes worth a go on the front. I would forget about them on the rear. If you can afford them, the new icetech SLX and XT brakes are outstanding
Luke Dunstan
Power or look? To early to tell really, they were instantly better than my Tektro mechanical disc brakes. Modulation is really good and hold is good too, but they aren't properly bedded in yet.
trialsmax04
You made me interested to try this. Power is nearly as good as a bb7 but not the same. Feel is much better (Hate the feel of a bb7). If your on a mod, id probably go for a 180mm disk, 203mm on a stock. The difference for me probably came from the fact my trail bike weighs 33lbs. Scott Gibbs
They are fantastic, and for the money you cant go wrong. I put them on my hard tail and i love them.
Luke Dunstan
Rode mine twice in the rain yesterday, the front brake has turned into a demon. Can't fault them at all.
John Shrewsbury
Been looking at the Saint brakes for awhile now, but it just came down to the price. So i decided on one of these in the end ( SLX). Looking forward to trying it out.
