Waqsy
Hi Trials-Forum, My name is Waqass Akram and i want to get into trials biking. I am 19years old and from Birmingham. I have never owned or been on a trials bike but i have enough money to start this sport, i looked on that website called tartybikes.co.uk and i liked the look of the gold and black montey kamel, the colours are amazing! Also is there any other muslims on this website who ride bike trials? I look forward to speaking to the trials community. Would be great if i could meet people to help me learn trials. Thank you for your time reading my hello paragraph Waqass
bike_dummie
wiggle have a pretty good deal on a mad phase which is a very good starter bike and with no needs for upgrades too soon.
Kenny--Trials
If you are 19 years old i am guessing you maybe tall? If you consider yourself tall, you need a 26" bike (not the black and gold kammel) called a stock. I would advise NOT buying a brand new one because they tend to be over priced for what you get. With seccond hand bikes, you can get a decent light bike without paying the extortionate prices. If you are shorter, a 20" called a mod is right for you. Again i wouldnt buy a brand new one because its just not worth it. Lastly there are 24" bikes which dont have another name. They are abit more unused than stocks or mods because they are quite new to the trials scene. Because of this, components are a little more scarce than parts on stocks or mods but most trials parts are universal (bars, grips, brakes, brake pads, pedals ect..). I find them easyer to use than a stock but im only a tiny 5ft4". My freind has just bought a 24" from going from a mod and he is about 5ft7" and he loves it to bits. Hope this helps you get started and gives you a little bit of an insight into the world of trials Edited September 4, 2011 by Kenny--Trials
alex-trials-boy
Hey fella, glad to see another trials rider, you realy dont want to go spending a large sum of money on your first trials bike, because if you dont like the bike (either because its too small for you or you dont think you can get into the sport) your pretty fooked when it comes to selling it because no one will want to buy it of you. Look on ebay for second hand ones, from around £200 upwards. TartyBikes offer a much cheaper beginner trials bike such as the onza range, starting from around £350 upwards (uber cheaper than the monty) Also on pinkbike theres loads of super good deals on beginner bikes hope you find the bike thats good for you
