Rusty Bolts ?!

Hey.

One thing that's proper letting my bike down atm is the fact that my stem, headset and handlebar bolts have got surface rust on them from when I left my bike out during a monsoon :(

Is there any ways I can get rid of it quickish? Would leaving them in vinegar sort it?

Cheers for any replies.

Dan.

If you have this product in your country, it does the trick way better than WD40.

If youre going to spend money on that.... it would be cheaper buying brand new stainless bolts off ebay. Would cost you around £1 posted!

Enough to have 4 spare, roughly the right length,

Buying new bolts would be a cheaper alternative, but if you really want to put the graft in of getting rid of the rust then i suggest hammerite rust remover gel, i use it on helicopters all the time works a treat!

its £5 from halfords if you really want to go through the effort.
