Laurence--Trials
Yes, IF you use the right amount. You should use four squirts on each side of the rim roll it forward with the brakes on to spread it out then wait for it to dry. I've also found its useful for if you want to ride a slippery surface squirt on, let it dry and ride away
mrlynch
Got a light grind my brakes not terrible to be honest just wondering if this stuff is worth a try Yes, IF you use the right amount. May be good for bit more confidence riding rails? Edited August 29, 2011 by mrlynch

May be good for bit more confidence riding rails? Im not sure if it works on a grind, no harm in trying though, you just have to ride the stuff, it should only last around a day. yeah will be perfect on rails, anything metal mainly, becomes very sticky and when the rubber(tyres) go on it, it squeeks a bit just to let you know. As you might expect it doesn't work in the wet though.
mrlynch
Ahh what the hell it's worth a go isn't it. Tar seems to work pretty good with a grind, wondering what its like in comparison really. Cheers for the advice. If its no good on my rim I'll definitely be giving a few rails a coating with it
kaybs41282
Yeah its pretty good just don't use too much as it lock up your feel and the pads literally stick to the rim! Very noisy and a grind id much better but this is a nice alternative. Never used it with a grind but would be interested in knowing how it fares! Kieran Morrison
it's utter insane with a grind, until it rains of course. I found it to be worse than tar in the rain.

But I suppose it would last ages. just tried this brake spray, its pretty impressive once the right amount is applied! Nice, how often do you have to apply it? Hope it's not every five minutes! When ever the brake performance is lost all depending on your set-up eg. grind and pads

mrlynch
The verdict - Monty brake spray + grind = super honkingly loud mega brake. I like
ogre
it's good to use on platform pedals, when i'm 5-10 less i'll touch up my pedals to give me a more familiar level of grip, doesn't last as well as rim use but it's a good one if you lack stick on pedals... mrlynch
Good idea that, I also tried it on a rail tonight. Really effective for that too
