This Is Driving Me Nuts!

still no luck yet, its very close to the top and i've had a go at pulling it out with plyers but they just slip off and cant grap it. Your saying it will pop completely out by itself?

If it's moving then it's working. I mean mine just shot out when i did it, but in your case it seems it's a bit more stubborn. Just be patient. The temperature is just contracting the piston slightly meaning it should slip out easily. Sounds like you're almost there.

Probably the rubber, which is less dense, will contract first. That would make sense!

But in an old lever where the piston has seized it might not contract enough.

Get some bleed pipe or an old bit of hose, cram it in a pump, foot pump will do, and use that now, whilst it's cold.

I CANNOT get the piston out of my hs33 any tips? I don't have a track pump and all that stuff either.

Its almost out but i cant see it getting any colder or going any further, it just seems to be staying in the same place now, its been in there for about 45minuites+

Started boiling the kettle to dip it in...

Matthew i achually love you! thankyou for your help :D and everyone else :D

Yepp!! all cleaned and shiney! I've changed the piston o-ring seal and its ready to go back in. When putting it back in do i need to lube it all up or keep it dry. If i do need lube what should i use?

Lube it up, something thin like GT85 should be alreet
