Tgs Style 24"

Ok I am having a mare of a time getting the right bike / set up that I really feel happy with.

So I am considering a lot of different options and ideas and thought I would ask about 24" TGS bikes to see if its a viable route.

Had a ET24 in the past which was great as a "big bmx" essentially, but I am a lover of doing a lot of pogo stuff as well. So I have dabbled in a short stock (1025wb) and a long stock (1085wb) over the last few months and I just can't find something that I like...

So I was wondering what people thought of them?? Have you had a go?? What do they ride like??

I like the appeal of the smaller wheels but the mid legnth frame, but just curious as to how they actually ride.

Anyway, I will stop waffling now.

Brett

I've only had a go on one. That was Ross McD's Because Simple

It felt like a pile, but it was set up so badly i couldnt really get a feel for the frame.

A friend from down this way has just bought an Echo 24" and he seems to be loving it.

I'm on a because trial 24 with because fork (1058, 65, 73, 367) and i find it really nice and defiantly wouldn't go back! I came off zoo lynx mod and its much easier for taps, kicks, hopping forward (on two wheels) nicer on the rear too! Things like sidehops i find the same i guess, i think its a bit nicer for up to rear though. I'd defiantly recommend it!

Was that in Fort William? My bike was set up to the way I liked it. I guess not to everyones tastes. But it deffo wasnt a pile! It rode better than a lot of other bikes out there.

But yeah.. 24" TGS is great fun! Its a good happy medium between 20 and 26.

I had an Echo 24" that I got when they first came out. It was an excellent bike. I've always liked long mods and shorter stocks so the Echo felt like the perfect in between (as you would hope). I've since sold it but I would certainly recommend it for anyone struggling to find that happy middle ground. Mine was built from frame with a mainly Trialtech spec. The only thing I should have done was make the front end slightly higher with some Trialtech High Risers and I think it would have been perfect.

The 24 rockman tractor that I have Rode is one of the best bikes even on the rear wheel, just like a 20 inch but you can pedal up like a 26,

If they started making some decent tyred for the 24 inch wheels I would ride one, as I was having nightmares after seeing what is possible on one while riding with savage, and that was with tyres with no grip or stability... Just plain silly

What tyres were they using on the rear? I'm running a big betty and found its VERY grippy.
