How would this work?

Yes you have upward and downward adjustment, but what about rotation? Turning the cylinder to get the pad within the rims sidwalls? If you were to run integrated clamps, you would have to have a slave/clamp combo unique of every different frame design.

Have you tried it on the front aswell? Should have enough braking power there :)

I was also wondering what frame he is riding?

no because my tryall fork and 180 mm rotor is not compatible with the brake caliper... is necessary a 203mm rotor or another fork with a different offse, now i had send this brake system to my friend for a front test!

the brake which Alex has tested is the current model J25,as you can see on the attachment , is recommended for XC use, for us it is recommended the J30, it mounts hope mono trial pads!

Agreed, if it's one piece there's surely no way you can move the pads in or out in relation to the rim either?
