Laurence--Trials
Having a few problems with my magura at the moment.. with the tpa and stuff.. So how exactly do i over bleed it? By bath bleeding? New question: Does the piston on the magura need to be lubed with anything when bled with water because when i try to bleed it, it keeps jamming and i have to wait for it to come out.. Revolver
Erm, either works, it basically means pulling the pistons out under water so it draws water in and then shutting the system so it doesn't come out. If you have stiff fitting pads, the old favourite is to put matchsticks under the pads.

aener
Okay thanks revolver Or if you don't have stiff fitting pads, you can clamp some mole grips on the nipple, pull the piston out until you can turn them at 45 degrees and rest them on the prongs that guide the pad out. Revolver
When that happens I tend to replace bits.
Laurence--Trials
Oh great.. and considering its 05 the piston is discontinued.. I'll try and manage without if not then i may just get the 2011 magura
Laurence--Trials
Sorted the brake, bled it though the lever and out of the slave as appose to the way you do it on your guide revolver.
Revolver
In the guide it says, do it both ways. And in the guide, I also do it both ways.
Laurence--Trials
I know, but you start by bringing it though the slave. However there must have been air or something in the lever because when i went though the lever first and out the slave it worked.. Either way my break is good.... for now.. Revolver
In my experience a stiff piston will always come back. Keep an eye on it.
