Azarathal
As the title says, looking to paint my front Pro II. It's currently that shiny anodized red and I'l like it a matt black, is it dooable?
JD™
As the title says, looking to paint my front Pro II. It's currently that shiny anodized red and I'l like it a matt black, is it dooable? Strip it down to just the shell, sand and paint as usual... That's what I did with my XC lately and it's stuck nicely.
Azarathal
Thanks for the input. By shell you mean removing the axle, bearings etc right? Could I just tape it up?

Best to take it completely to bits, but I left the axle and bearings in mine. It was 10 years old though...
Azarathal
Do pro-II's even come apart?
Skoze
Just mask it, it's all I did with mine. Didn't even de-lace the wheel, just got a bit pro with my cans and then got really anal with a paint brush afterwards. Looks alright unless you're literally 5cm from it. I'm going to delace it anyway. Ran a vee with no pad left, metal on metal for months, running dual disc and my front rim is half ground + it has a massive gouge either side. Delace, sand and sand rim + hubs black I think. With white spokes it'll look awesome.
