Another Pro Question

Recommended Posts

I have just bought an onza pro, and i'm wondering what makes it so heavy,

My mate has the onza blade, but is feels so much lighter than the pro.

I read up on the two bikes and the only difference i could find is the frames were made from different materials,

the pro was made from 7005 alloy

blade was made from U6/9 (not sure which one)

is this the reason for the dramatic weight difference or is it a something else that i can just change for a light weight part.

Thanks for your help in advance,

The rear brake on the pro.

That calliper is a pretty hefty unit, added to the extra disc and disc hub on the pro.

The Pro has a cheaper, heavier wheelset also.

Blade has a rear magura, much lighter than the disc unit, and has a lighter wheelset too.

I have a rear magura on mine now and the weight is still different.

lol what they are trying to say is you should have bought the other one and put the parts on a pro frame! lol

p.s ride the heavy bike for practice (unless your going strait to comps)and you'll find you have improved loads when you get the lighter setup.
