Trials Cardiff
Well i recently tried to do a front wheel hop and could pull off one but cannot keep the bike steady in the air after 1 hop. Anyone have tips on how to maintain the hop ? Thanks. Edited August 3, 2011 by Trials Cardiff
Gaz96
I can do about 4 but I found when I first started trying them, when I tried hopping up I was also pulling back so my back end fell instantly. Just make sure to keep leaning over your arms and your weight forward, be prepared to bail over the bars alot! BradJohnson
Why would you need to hop on the front wheel; learn more important things: - Side hop - pedal up - tap - gaps
MonsieurMonkey
He can learn whatever he wants to in whatever order he wants to. He's riding for the fun of it not to be able to say "Oh I can sidehop up 9 pallets, come suck my massive dick."
Revolver
Why would you need to hop on the front wheel; learn more important things: - Side hop - pedal up - tap - gaps f**k that, why don't you learn to be really good at papier maché? I mean it's clearly more useful than being able to ride a bike, you could even sell the shit you make.

Endohopper
Given my username I'm kinda bound by ancient oaths to reply in this thread . As to actual advice - yeah , learn to overdo it and learn that you can safely bail then get a feel for where that tipping point is . He can learn whatever he wants to in whatever order he wants to. He's riding for the fun of it ... ^ Correct .
bikeperson45
I find them easier to do on a slope so you're already over the front more, where as on flat it's just your balance. Then when you get used to the position on a slope transfer it to flat.
Manus-Rider
when iam doing front wheel hops i dont hold the back brake on so i can kick the pedals, as that seems to give me a better steady hop!
HJS
Make sure that when you're doing this, your front tyre isn't to hard as it won't have any bounce, but also make sure it's not so soft that it absorbs the momentum of the hop.. If you know what i mean
