trust me to have a cog with no holes in it! lol good idea though!

im only looking to do it as a temp stop gap. if and when i get a new hub ill replace the rim etc also but dont want to build a new wheel with my old rim as its got slight flat spots and buckles.

+ ive not got the moolah after soem recent part purchases! ill see what i can do with it!

What about when the chain hits the cable tie ?

Don't use the same sprocket. I've done it before (I think), with an old sprocket from a mtb block right next the spokes, zip tied that up, then normal spacers and a wide base sprocket as you'd usually set it up. Worked fine, apart from the added weight.
