Which Bb?

Ok, to be honest I know very little about BBs.

I'm looking to get a new square taper one, and I'm looking at either the Trialtech Race, Echo VP or Because. I was wondering if anyone had used any of these and could give me any pointers?

Cheers :)

Whichever square taper you choose, it's not going to be as strong or as good as an ISIS system. Your taper will round off on the cranks and sooner or later the axle will snap. It's happened to most of us I think.

As far as I know all those bb's are just OEM products. Personally I'd trust Trialtech's choice of BB and go for that.

It will be fine fraser any if them are good im running some random bb and its fine. Why do you need a new one anyway?

My one started making a horrible clunking noise, I took it out to grease it but it's a sealed unit so there are no threads to grease...

Looks like I'll go for the Trialtech (Y)

Happy 1,000th post btw

The threads are on the outside, you'll probably just need a bit of grease on them and a good tightening afterwards. Should solve most BB related issues...

Doesn't happen if you keep your cranks tight, I used the same Square taper middleburns for a year or two without rounding them off ;)

I did snap a few bb's though!
