crashbanggg
I'm getting really pissed off with the amount trials is costing me and therefore looking to sell up. Last time I went out, a friend kicked off the crossover pipe so the brake needs to be bled before sale, so my question: Will bleeding the brake with water (And therefore saving money)reduce the appeal/ potential sale price of it? Or will bleeding with oil be more 'attractive' new riders and therefore have a bigger potential market and be worth the cost of the oil? Cheers Chris
Revolver
Only a goon would say no to a water bled brake that works.
Manus-Rider
In my opinion i would rather have a water bled brake than oil
crashbanggg
Ok, for cheapness, availability and the fact its a free insertion weekend on eBay i'm going to bleed it with water. How much anti freeze will I need to put in the sink along with the water to make it freeze proof?

Cheers Chris No, it wont affect the price, as long as you dont have slow/stuck pistons. What bike are you selling 'cause im currently bikeless and looking to buy something nice. Jake.
Bleeds don't really affect the re-sale price, only slow/lazy pistons and screwed up lever bodies- basically the components that cost money to fix. If your brake has never been bled with water before, then it'll be great with what oil it used before. My Magura messed up bad after giving it a water bleed, so I kept rebleeding it with water and let it dry out. Still didn't work, I went back to Magura royal blood and works much better. May differ between brakes though.
pengsmelly
About 80 % of riders who use maggie will have a water bleed. Sellling with water bleed really saves them a job. I mean as long as it works then the substance you bled it with shouldn't matter.
