Martin Reynolds
I recently listed my bmx on ebay (got screwed over by a newbie :/) so im going to relist it. Just was wondering, how easy is it to post a whole bike? it is as simple as boxing it up and draggin it to your local post office? (never posted anything this big) And whats the average price of posting a bike? Cheers
Revolver
I posted a frame and wheel at a post office before. I think a courier is best for a whole bike though. I think it costs like £25.
isitafox
I posted my Monty 219 alp via parcel force at the post office. As long as you can balance the box on the scales it should be fine, think I got it on the 24hr service for under £30 and it was no lightweight! Just whipped the wheels and bars off and managed to get it in an exercise bike box inc a spare front wheel!
Martin Reynolds
Yeh ive posted frames off, cost me like £12 via parcelforce at the post office. I had a quick look on the royal mail website, and its gunna cost about £22, which aint bad i guess Just wasnt sure if there was a weight/size limit or something stupid
isitafox
There is a size limit which I think it says somewhere on the parcelforce site but you'll easily get a bike boxed small enough to not have to worry!

Just checked, 3 meters in length, and 1.5 meters girth Yes, they actually used the word GIRTH
Tomm
I did it via a courier firm. Can't remember the exact one but it was £18 and they came and picked it up from my house - ideal. Much better than Royal Mail!
TrialsGilly
http://www.parcel2go.com/ really good website, compares all the best prices from most of the major parcel companies. The one I always use, last trials bike I posted was for £7.98 i think. Halfords give out free bike boxes if your lacking packing equipment.
