PaRtZ
OK so this may be just me... I bought a phone off Ebay about 2 weeks ago. Paypalled straight away and set the delivery address on paypal reciept to North wales (where I am now). Waited for ages and ages, so I asked him where is it, he said he sent it. I check ebay and it said it was due on the 27th (no idea how they worked it out, but I decided to be paitient). While I was there I double checked Id sent him the right postal address on the order + on the confirmation E-mail, they WERE right. Get an E-mail from him last night saying he posted them to the Isle-of-Wight where I used to live. Now thats no f*cking good to me as Im not going back there. He has managed to ignore the two postal address that were E-mailed to him and decide to go onto my profile which I haven't updated yet, and use the primary address there. I mean im sure lots of people in uni know that you have a primary address set up to one place(say with the parents for non-term-time) but another for when you're at another place (such as during term-time). So my new phone is either in the hands of the new occupancy of my old flat or stuck in the royal mail depot in Ryde as there is no-one living there. Either way, what do I do? Anyone been here before? thanks.
Krisboats
Yep, i told them i hadn't received it and in the same situation as you, i'd sent a message via ebay agiving my address and the address on paypal was accurate. I opened a dispute with the seller through ebay/paypal and because he hadn't sent it to the address on my paypal invoice i was refunded. Don't feel guilty about opening a dispute, if you messaged him with the address it's largely his fault.
PaRtZ
OK thanks! to be honest I don't mind waiting if he can sort it out and get it posted to me still (if thats possible?) Im anticipating the seller to ignore my E-mail telling him his blunder and have to open a dispute anyway, but if he apolgises and gets to work then Im cool with that... But its good to know I can get my money back at worst case....
James Quigley
Send me (via PM) your old address and I'll pop down the sorting office and see if they have it if you like
eskimo
It's against the law to open someone elses stuff. The package would of been sent Special Delivery requiring a signature if the seller had sent according to the rules of Ebay/ Paypal. However you should of updated your address, honestly man, this is your fault too. If the place is unoccupied the package will be returned to the seller straight away. The seller will need to sign for the item upon being returned to him too if everyone along the line has done their job correctly. Should get sorted out due to this.
