MonsieurMonkey
Just wanna know the pros and cons, what's the difference, where do the excel or not. Or just link me somewhere, I had a look but my laptop is lagging like a slut and it's taking me ages to sift through pages. Cheers.
Revolver
26"s make better ordinary trials bikes. 24"s make better bikes for 180s and 360s and other moves you have to throw the bike around more for. Not that you can't do that on a 26", Ali C and Rowan Johns handle theirs fine. That's about the gist of it.
ogre
it depends how you want to ride; if you want gaps, sidehops and big powerful pure trials moves, a 26" will offer an advantage, if you want a streetier style a 24" can be easier to throw around. you can still ride either bike either way, but smaller wheels are easier for spins... MonsieurMonkey
Cool, thanks dudes, I couldn't respond last night because I'm limited to 5 posts a day. So is that basically it? 24 for more spinach is about it's only advantage? But the same could be done on a 26 with a bit more power surely? Luke Dunstan
People assume when someone mentions 24" it has to be street.
Revolver
This is true, but the same can be said of a 24" trials trials bike. It's smaller so easier to change directions on.
Mark W
But the same could be done on a 26 with a bit more power surely? ...sort of, yeah. It does definitely feel a little more cumbersome. Switching from my Fourplay to Ali's Hex I can sort of feel that it's not quite as nimble. It's still do-able, but yeah, it just takes a little more persuasion...
