ross87
Just lately I seem to spend more of my time working on my bike than actually riding it. The two problems I need help with are: 1. My rear wheel will rub the brake pads on coners. I have checked the spoke tension and it all seems to be ok and my wheel is tight. So what else could it be? 2. My Hope mono trial has a stripped thread in the IS mounting. Is a heli-coil kit the only way to go? Any help will be appreciated Ross

If you have cone bearings, they could be loose causing your wheel to wobble side to side,s o when you turn it goes to one side and rubs. bike_dummie
1. The bearings may have gone, best to take them out and look as either side could be ruined if your running a hs33 the pads do wobble on the pistons any way. 2. your best option is helecoiling the brake, but maybe just drill the hole as if you would be helicoiling and put a lobger bolt through and put a nut on the end this way you can still heli coil it to the same size at a later date.
