Grant-MacD
hey I've been having problems with the performance of my brakes it's not the brake itself that have the problem its what I'm using to make them better or in this case worse. I am running a smooth rim with tar but in the heat the tar just melts and i was wondering if anyone knows of anything else i could use as a replacement apart from a grind? It would help allot. Kieran Morrison
Tar is probably the only good thing, or Monster or coke or something? or just get a grind?
Mackay
I used to use zoo pads on a smooth rim which was strong enough, but if i wanted some serious stopping power then added the monty brake spray, makes it loud as hell though. deffinately worth a go mate
Filo
Try different pads? Heatsink yellows on a smooth rim. You could just grind your rim
Manus-Rider
monty brake spray, it seems to be good but you have to wait for a couple of mins while it works its magic into your rim!
