BradJohnson
Will a new bike help? Surely you can get fit on your current bike? My current bike isn't right for me, i ride a phase 1.3, i want something with a high bb, and maybe go back to a mod.

Ali C
well mods suck unless you are really small. and high bb bikes suck for anything other than backwheel moves. I would rather ride a Phase over something like the new Sky2 bike.

Well im 6ft 2 so im not exacly small And i want something more modern, i like the bike i have it just doesnt have the spec im after, and instead, of buying new parts its easier for me to sell my bike and get a decent spec'd second hand bike. Ali C
makes sense, though it sounds like a mod may not be the best direction. I would avoid a high bb bike just now, start lower and build up is the best way I think.

chris4stars
just my 2cents... agree with what alot of people are saying here, just riding will be the most helpful thing in terms of building up specific fitness in completeing sections works all the muscles in the way you want them to work come the day of the comp (unsurprisingly) a good technique makes you alot more effcient, better that that just tiring yourself throwing the bike around a decent core always helps (and looks good for the ladies....) im just speaking as someone who is and has been super active for a few years now - 8+ runs a week, gym, sports, work and riding for a good few hours too. fitness wise im at my peak in most areas but id have problems completing a section 2mins+ long...attempting natural killed me in no time at all!! good luck with it all
Revolver
As ali said, high bb bikes are good at back wheel stuff. When I've rode rocks it's been hard enough doing two-wheel stuff, let alone back wheel stuff. You want it to be as easy as possible. Stocks are better at it too because the wheels are larger, they'll smooth out a bit of the lumpy surface of the rocks. Get a stock! The phase has gone, i have saw an 11 pirahna in the forsale section for really cheap so i might get that
weebryan
I would agree natty is the way forwards and upwards and try different styles do a section back wheel, then 2 wheels, 2 wheels on every rock mix it up as much as you can make it hard try shorter run ups make the moves more confined even though theres loads of room and do sections Im going to try this as a off bike thing: insanity workout i know a few people who have tried it and really good results and can do it at home when watching my daughter and no equipment needed, time to burn lol Also i suggest streching before and after i really feel it(aches and pains) getting old i suppose plus my work is physical too so need to be supple and strong and functional or im off sick not getting paid , just wish i started when i was young and fit lol good luck!!!
