Freewheel

I noticed the other day that my freewheel was moving side to side when i turn the pedals and in turn the chain goes loss then tight. Is this normal or it their something wrong with the freewheel or something else??

Normal, all freewheels have tight points, and the outer ring can move side to side

Someone asked the same thing a few weeks ago i think, and someone replied saying the freewheel goes egg shaped, so when the foot you kick with is forward it will be slacker than if your weak foot was.

So yeah, perfectly normal :)

Pretty sure thats bullshit.

Think about it, its constantly moving so you don't put pressure on the same point constantly.

Anyways... Its to do with cranks not having their threads machined completely true with the axle causing a slight wobbling.
