Rourke
I had my tyre pressure as 25 in the rear. I have the stock tryre for my onza zoot 2010. I was riding home after a long day of riding and I was going down a huge hill and speeding along at about 15mph and I try to hop a curb but fail cause I was tired. I hear a bing and now I have a dent in my rim. Any ideas how I should get the ding out?
Revolver
You can bend it back with pliers or a spanner but you risk snapping that bit off your rim. It depends on how bad it is. Show us a picture!

Rourke
Alright so I do that then is the rim will be ok? Or will it be weak?

It will weaken the rim. It might not even survive being bent back. Edited July 13, 2011 by Revolver
Rourke
On more thing... What would be the cheapest way to get a new rim.
AndrewEH1
Well you could either steal one, so that's pretty cheap. Or buy one from a reputable online shop or from this very forum, not as cheap but comes with the added benefit of no criminal record. mem405
Its a dent. get over it. If it works its fine. Sometimes they dont work fine though. Considering its his back tire too id be a little worried. Of course it all depends on the size and severity of the dent, but if its bad enough it could weaken his wheel to the point of it breaking on a hard landing. A dent is a dent. they do f**k all. its not gonna weaken the rim. if it buckled just true it and ride. its fine. I have ran rims with so many dents and it ran fine. it doesnt actually matter. liam n
A dent is a dent. they do f**k all. its not gonna weaken the rim. if it buckled just true it and ride. its fine. I have ran rims with so many dents and it ran fine. it doesnt actually matter. i had an old echo urban and it had to many grinds and i dented it so much that half the sidewall was missing and i still rode that for 3 or 4 weeks until i decided to bend out the dent and there was a crack down the middle of the sidewall, and the tyre pressure pushed it out, so it rubbed on my maggies, and then i rode that for another week or 2 and then i bought an echo TR rim and popped it on, then i went shipley about 2-3 weeks ago and i put a wee dent in my new ish TR which had only had one grind on it so the dent wouldn't pull out as there was still a load of sidewall, so i didn't bother....i'm gunna buy a new rim tommorow echo sl 2011 ...i don't like the look of the small dent in my rim , and the rim may now implode because of it...the echo urban makes a nice picture frame..... and i may just chuck the TR because of the wee dent it might explode....
