rushadventures
Appreciate that this is not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm considering doing a MTB instructor course and wondered if anyone has done or heard of one that was good? I would ideally like to be able to take adults and kids over any type of terrain at any height in the UK and maybe Europe. Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers, Chris
haydon_peter
Do a search on the Singletrack World Forums. There is loads of information and opinions on there... MTB Instruction/Guiding is something I have been considering training in for a while but as of yet I have not got off my arse and done it
Tomm
I know someone who did it for a while. It depends where you do it - in most places local knowledge and being friendly/enthusiastic/approachable are important, and if you can fix a puncture that's a bonus. Fitness and bike skillz aren't super important for guiding - I suspect in the UK you have to have some bullshit qualification but I don't think my friend had anything (for Spain). On the other hand, coaching is a different matter.
