Martin Reynolds
How does using paypal as good work? im right in saying theres a 3% fee? Or is this only if your paypal account isnt verified? ( i think i read that somewhere) So if you send £100, does it take the 3% off that and the other person get £97?
Jamie_Trials
So if you send £100, does it take the 3% off that and the other person get £97? Correct, not sure about getting it verified, but I do know, gifts have a fee, and goods are for free.
dann2707
But remember not to send it as a gift if you are buying goods because you are not insured at all by paypal if things go tits up. Seen soooooooooooooo many people gutted by geting scammed and by paying by gift you dont get any thing back.
Martin Reynolds
Correct, not sure about getting it verified, but I do know, gifts have a fee, and goods are for free. Isnt it the other way around? Gifts are free and goods have a fee?

Greetings
Doesn't Paypal only insure goods purchased via ebay?
Tomm
Doesn't Paypal only insure goods purchased via ebay? Yep. And even that can be subject to credit card chargeback scams (google it if you care). I used to think insurance against scammers was the reason Paypal took a big cut for doing... not much. I once got stung, bought something online, paid via paypal because I thought it'd be safe. Item never turned up, the guy basically disappeared and closed down his paypal account, and there was zero I could do to get my money back. The paypal dispute found in my favour but they said although they had tried to get the money back from the scammer's account, that had failed and I was on my own. Utterly useless. You can choose to pay the charge or it is deducted from what the other person recieves. Just stick a bit of money on top to cover fees and both people are covered.
