Agram
well i got two Q. and I hope they r not too stupid: first:The "T" in TGS stands for taps is that "zap-taps"?(which i think it is) second:about gear ratio..18:12 is considered like the nrml trials gear ratio, right? so whats the difference in pedaling(the feel) with them ratios? for instance between 18:12 and 24:18? Thanx. Edited June 23, 2011 by Agram
N.Wood
well i got two Q. and I hope they r not too stupid: first:The "T" in TGS stands for taps is that "zap-taps"?(which i think it is) second:about gear ratio..18:12 is considered like the nrml trials gear ratio, right? so whats the difference in pedaling(the feel) with them ratios? for instance between 18:12 and 24:18? Thanx. 1. Taps as in pedaling up, hitting the front wheel into the face of the wall and landing ontop to rear wheel. 2. 18:12 on a mod, 18:15 on a stock are pretty standard. Some people use a tooth either side or whatever. To work out a ratio its the first number divided by the second. Eg 18 / 12 = 1.5 and 24 / 18 = 1.3 recurring. The higher the number the harder the gear feels. This works for all gears and can be used to match up gears eg 18:15 on a stock is similar to 22:18 (1.2 and 1.2 recurring respectively)
