Stephen Morris
Me again. I've just been fitting some new pads to my Maguras - the first time I've used anything other than Magura blacks. These pads (I think they're called Rockman) don't seem to fit as snug as Magura pads do and they don't click when you push them in, is this normal? Thanks, Stephen. N.Wood
Yep, some just kinda push on and seem a bit dodgy but are fine. Tried a bit of the old spittle on the backing before pushing it on? That can help it slide easier.
Stephen Morris
Thanks Nick, I'm surprised they don't fit on as nicely as the Magura pads but if that's the way it is then fair enough. As you've probably seen from my Facebook mutterings I've cleaned all the tar off my rims (I used Turtle Wax wheel cleaner and a heavy duty washing up sponge) and I'm trying a brand new HS33 with some "modern" pads (Rockmans instead of Magura blacks) to see what all the fuss is about. I assume there are only a handful of people still using tar nowadays and there must be a reason for it. God bless, maybe see you for a ride sometime this Summer, Stephen Morris.
