BurlyBox
Halfords are about as good as a McFlurry's lid Still that was hilarious!

BradJohnson
im pretty sure halfords just let any retard work there, i took my bike there for a service and it came out in a worse state than it went in.
Miles Mallinson
I cringed the other day when I saw someone come out of Halfords with the forks on backwards. There are some stores with experienced mechanics like the Penrith one, but most of the ones I've been in they are pretty uninviting and just thry ignore you even if they don't know anything about bikes at least try and communicate. Culshaw95
i could never trust halfords after my mate went in and asked how to measure a hub and they didnt know and they said to go to a bike specialist when it clearly says uk's number 1 bike specialist
Si-man
Make me laugh how everyone slags off halfords. Only complaints our store gets is lack of staff to serve them, other than that, top marks
smithy83
i went into my local halfords to get sum wiper blades and whilst i was there thought id have a look at the bikes.as i walked round to the counter there was a mechanic in there with a wheel in the trueing stand hitting it with a rubber mallet trying to straighten it.i laughed out loud and said nice spoke key mate.
Franksx2005
Think it depends on the store, the one near me has two good mechanics!
ogre
thats my halfords where i work ahaha we're not a bad store atm, me and the manager know our stuff prety well, but it is a pickey as f**k town, and it's hard to employ without acquiring a numpty or two... anzo
With the amount of stores they have it doesn't suprise me at all that they have a couple of idiots in there - clearly a training issue. The problem isn't the stores but the some of the staff that work there. I wouldn't class Halfords as specialist - they offer a cheap service for people who just want a bike quickly, cheaply to do a bit of cycling. I'm sure most people who are really into cycling would go elsewhere...
