MikeCottTrials
Got these pads on after seeing two of my mates using them and seemingly getting nice braking power. However on my bike they are fairly average at best unless I tsunami the area in tar I'm using a smooth onza rim and a water bleed. Anyone else using these pads experiencing the same? I ask because I am slightly thinking it could be the rims fault
LukasMcNeal
Give the rim a really good clean!
davidbarr
I used them on an onza rim and they were really good. But in the wet they were terrible.
krazykid009
Definitely need a grind to bring the best out of them... as light as you can get though James
Luke Dunstan
I had the citrus on a smooth Trialtech rim, then on a light grind. Both were terrible.
trials owns
Used these pads for over a year with a onza smooth rim, they dont work great if there is any crap on the rim, but fully clean they are okish, but i agree there not the best pads in the world but do the job lol
Topsy
Had them on a smooth inspired rim. Sometimes they were ok, sometimes not. You somehow always had to brake them in after not using the bike for ~2hrs. Changed to Green rockpads which were much better. I now have a lightish grind with the citrus pads on again and they seem ok. Still not as good as the rockpad greens though (also with light grind). But they are loud as hell
trials owns
Had them on a smooth inspired rim. Sometimes they were ok, sometimes not. But they are loud as hell I have to agree with this! they dont seem to have consistant power every now and then. but yeah after a couple hours i drag them down a hill again so maximum power is regained Edited June 19, 2011 by trials owns
jacksnell95
ive got them, on a grind they were down like cheese -.- but they do have good breaking performance until its wet
Matthew_Gibson
Not the best pad ever. Mine lasted about 3 hours. on a very very worn out grind. and they were loud. http://www.youtube.com/user/gibbie1990#p/u/7/2TSLgdbWm-I
MikeCottTrials
Thanks guys, I think I need some rock pad greens. These citrus pads might be condemned to front brake exile
Topsy
Don't let it be my fault if they are shit For my riding style they were ok Though I guess you actually don't get much more choice if you run a smoothe rim, do you?
SamKidney
For smooth rims, Heatsink CNC Yellows are the Shizz. My Citrus on a smooth onza wheelset were beast though!
