echoteam9484
As some of you may know some pads work better in plastic backings rather than plastic. so.... for heatsink yellows is the performance rate better in plastic or metal ? isitafox
I'd say metal for rear, plastic for front. Gives you a tiny bit more moderation!

Yip cheers dude, i actually need to up date the side by side comparisons. I tried new HSY pads in plastic backings for a week plus the saturday of the british cup and thought they were very good BUT i did change back to cnc HSY on the sat night ready for the british champs on the sunday and honestly there fantastic and alot better than plastic backing, bite is crazy and hold is mega. Not always the case with other compounds though.
Sam T
Can't really fault my yellow. Amazing on a grind in the dry, and today i was riding in the wet. My rim was muddy, soaking wet and they still gave me confidence to keep riding!

Never had metal backings be anything but detrimental - including Heatsink Yellows. Mind you, I can't set a brake up for toss as I'm fairly crap at maintenance. If your brake is 100% set up with metal backings then it makes your brake pads wear at angles. Plastic on the other hand i dont tend to have too much of a problem with that.
