Hub And Frame Spacing

Hey guys.

Got a quick question. Is it okay to run a non-onza hub designed for 116mm frames in my onza 110mm frame? Maybe something like the trialtech sport, or echo TR? If so would I need to run cams on the outside of the frame to space it out a bit? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

what frame have you got man? problem with running a non onza hub like the echo tr are there not a true 110mm hub because of the 2 snail cams making it 116mm where as onza and i think some viz hubs are a true 110 hub. like you say you'll have to mess about with putting snail cams on both sides of the frame and just play about with them till its right. i had to do this with my onza limey 3 and my echo tr hub. ending up running one on the outside one on the inside.

The snail cams on the TR hub are 3mm thick. Take them off and you have a 110mm spaced hub.

You will either have to run the cams on the outside to stop the bolts washer bottoming out on the axle, or do as Dundy said and run one on the outside and one on the inside.

Il be experimenting with it this weekend too when my Ice Arrives.
