forteh
Get some lighter rims! I cant really gap much more than 6-7 foot most of the time so cant really offer any sensible advice other than try to absorb more shock with your knees/hips? J.KYDD
Are you opening up your body for most movement? Angle the bike out so it pivots toward your front foot. As you gap, your body wants to be way past the bike before it has left the take off Edited June 16, 2011 by J.KYDD
Mat Tea Why
I used to have the same problem. I tried to mentally aim to land in the space above the landing, rather than aiming directely st it. It seemed to help me a little bit?
Krisboats
I'd be looking to land past the edge of whatever it is your gapping as well. I always look to the edge and that's where i land. However looking about 6 inches further than the edge seems to land me on top of it enough to make me sound smooth.

As you gap, your body wants to be way past the bike before it has left the take off im doing all of this ! its just recently ive found i can gap alot further than i first thought......its like when im in mid hair the bike is tucked up but as i come for landing i dont just extend my legs out i kind of like really stomp them out and that ends up in this really nasty noise of your rims going twannng ! Ahhhhhh try aiming a little in front of where i want to land...This makes sence will have a go tomorrow cheers for the advice guys Edited June 16, 2011 by Dave Anscombe
