chris4stars
Riding an inspired and the bb (trialtech 128mm i think?) is pretty much on its way out...you can slightly move the cranks from side to side and theres a bit of a dodgy noise coming from it too as a result im looking to get a new BB, stronger the better....wonder if anyone had any recommendations? price isnt really an issue and id be using it with a set of middleburns anyone had experience with Raceface, FSA or truative BB's? (looking on chain reaction) or should i stick to the selection on tarty? like this (FSA Platinum Pro DH): http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=5593 also...is there any way to use external cups (like the hope ones) and an bolt through ISIS type axle if such a thing exists? thanks for any inputs guys and girls
Martin Reynolds
truative ones are ment to be shit hot. I believe they are specifically for DH, and use like 15mm wide bearing races each side I'll be getting one when i kill my trialtech.... again
Mark W
I still don't get how you did that to your's, but hey ho. My Sport BB's been awesome the entire time I've had it. Still feels great now, whereas every other BB I've had has felt pretty gritty/notchy after the first few months.
chris4stars
ive no idea how either...but its been a year and a half of riding so that may be normal? the slight movement allows the pedal to move towards/away from the frame a couple of mm, its like one side of whatever is holding the axle has worn....im not sure how the whole thing fits together but its the crank equivalent of having a loose headset
CC12345678910
but its been a year and a half of riding so that may be normal? yeah thats normal... When I got that with my old trialtech (the one before they went to cartridge bearings) it lasted for another 6 months before it exploded in my BB shell so watch for that, but it'll be rite otherwise.
