monkeyseemonkeydo
can i just cut of the split bit, and put the olive back on? Yes but you may need a new olive, depends if you can get the old one off ok. If it were me I'd just flush it through and bleed with water. jacksnell95
just trim the cable down past the olive then put a new one in and bleed with water as you get a nice feel from water but when its the colder months you may want to mix in abit of antifreeze

N.Wood
yeah because i thought people run them on water, but when it leaked and it were propper brake fluid, i was bit confused, cheers guys It would have been bled with mineral oil from the factory, but bleeding with water is a good 'upgrade'. You can get olives (little brass round sleeves) from chainreaction or tarty.

You know how to bleed them, so to put water in basically you just use water instead of oil when bleeding.
