Luke Dunstan
Just about to clean the bike. Running a grind, and what to take special care when cleaning the rim, what's the best way to do it??? JD mentioned meths on a smooth rim, would that good to use on a grind? Cheers.

Luke Dunstan
Cheers dude, It's covered in a few months worth of tar, monty spray and random dusty shiz. I know what people are going to think "tar on a grind??!?", My brakes went to shit a few months back, and for an emergency solution, tar saved the day. eskimo
IMO ever time you use tar it should be removed after use/ before it's next use. Keeps optimum performance.. Wouldn't bother with re-grinding if you plan on using tar again. Save your rim for the winter! Oh and water and one of them dish washing scouring sponge will remove the tar if the grind is almost dead. I used chemicals when i was younger but they ain't really needed. AlexxRogers
Autoglym Tar Remover works a treat too!
