thorn2403
not sure if this is the right place for this, so sorry if not I want to get a tool set to take to uni with me to do some basic tinkering on my bike and I found this one one of the things I'll need it for is to change to single-speed. I know this is what the chain whip is for but am not sure what else is needed. so basically, is this enough? thanks p.s. if any could link a good "how to" site it would be much appreciated
bike_dummie
yes this is what you will need if you have a cassette. but you will need this if you have a freewheel, you can tell the difference by looking at the right side of the cassette/freewheel, if it is a casseste it will be flat but if is a freewheel it will not be flat. freewheel cassette Adam Edited June 12, 2011 by bike_dummie
Radfax
I still have the one that came with my T-raptor in 2004! only things i have added is a Parktool Crank puller which i got for a fiver, a external BB tool and a headset press. So i guess that one will be fine!
stewie87
thats should be fine to be honest for basic tinkering keeping things running smooth etc,

Si-man
Add a crank arm puller to that list too. Can't go wrong with one.
