forteh
Following discussions with matt burrows at tartydays I laced a spare D521 onto my front hub in order to get better tyre stability (previously using an xc717 which whilst super light was too narrow). Built it up fine and then drilled the shit out of it to reduce the weight back to about where I was at before. Ended up with 30x15mm slots between the spokes which worked out pretty well, I then decided to singlewall it which turned out to be a bit of a mistake, the rim is not about as stiff as a wet noodle so I now need a new one As it turned out the entire wheel built onto a hope mono (115g) was only 825g, nice and light but unfortunately practically unuseable So now Im looking at a wide, lightweight front rim, I use front vee so want one that will hold a light grind well. Also if it has an erd of 540/541 then I can reuse my spokes The trialtech front rims seem to match the criteria pretty well, the wheel will end up a bit heavier than it was with the xc717 but I can live with that. Of the two trialtechs listed on tarty, the more expensive SL rim is actually heavier, is this the case or have tarty got them mixed up and how well do they hold a grind? Beers in advance for anyone who can offer advice
ghostrider88
I have the cheaper one and it holds grind pretty well and is stiff enough for me too(200+ pounds BW)
