quick_spider
I'm looking for a shorter stem for my 24 - currently running Easton EA70's which I'm happy with, but most of the stems I've seen are 31.8mm clamp, but my bars are an old school 25.4mm. Can you run a shim between the bars/stem or is this asking for trouble?? Ta Jon
Scott Gibbs
No it will work fine. I ran a set of try-all yourself replica bars in an 31.8 stem on my monty years ago with no problems.
nb88
You can get a system ex 90mmX35 degree stem on ebay in either OS or normal clamp - only £19 too
Luke Rainbird
Chances are you'll be fine, but I'd try and use it as a short-term measure rather than a long term fix
