Carlperkins
got this.. question.. does the plus 20 adapter allow me to run a 180mm rotor? and to run a 160 i would have to take off the adapter yeah? i need to buy a rotor anyway so i wanted a 180. so if this brake with the +20 adapter would allow me to run a 180 its all good. i dont want to buy another adapter just to run a 180. hope that makes sense, i've never had a hope before so im not 100% sure. ireson75
The +20 adaptor is to take the standard hope size which is 180mm (unless you get a 160mm caliper) up to 200mm. The one you have in the photo means you can run a 200mm disc instead of a 180.
Rockman
No it doesn't I have that brake, I have standard Echo Urban forks with the same setup you have their and it is a 180mm disc. If that was a +40 adaptor you would need a 200mm disc.
ireson75
Well, I think it kinda depends on the fork....mine as standard are 180mm mounts and yours are obviously 160mm. My bad Edited May 24, 2011 by ireson75

Carlperkins
this is a rear brake, on a neon bow 2009 mod frame. so i take it i need a 180 rotor? i wish hope could just say.. 160mm adapter.. 180mm.. and so on .. lol
Duncy H
If it is on the rear as you say and the neon bow has standard mounts then it as it is there it should bolt on and fit a 160mm disc. The try-ll brakes were designed for koxx frames with funky designs, this is the reason for the confusion with the brake mounting and sizing etc.
Azarathal
Should've just pm'd me. With the adapter it takes a 160mm rotor, the adapter itself has been faced (as my frame couldn't have material removed) so It'll make things easier to set up.
